The Park is on the edge of Tentsmuir Forest, a national nature reserve, which spans 3,700 acres of extensive pine forest right to the shore of Kinshaldy Beach, a 5-mile long sandy beach. Containing waymarked trails and well-maintained paths for hacking and pony rides, the reserve is ideal for exploring by horse, bike or foot and has a unique ecology that is internationally recognised for its rich variety of plants, birds and insects. It is an important habitat for a range of wildlife, including red squirrels and roe deer – porpoises, seals and bottlenose dolphins are regularly seen offshore. The reserve also has its own equestrian centre which offers forest and beach riding along Kinshaldy beach all year round.

Only a 15 minute drive away from our holiday park is the golfing mecca and stunning medieval coastal city of St Andrews, the world’s ‘home of golf’ and Scotland’s oldest University. Visit the 12th century ruins of St Andrews Castle and Cathedral or the British Golf Museum which brings over 500 years of golfing history to life. Nature enthusiasts will love St Andrews Botanic Gardens spanning over 18 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and glasshouses with 8000 species of ferns, herbaceous plants, shrubs and trees. Or come face-to-face with the most beautiful and fascinating underwater creatures of the world such as seals and sharks at St Andrews Aquarium. For those that prefer music and culture, The Byre Arts Theatre, Scotland’s only 5-star arts attraction, presents a varied programme of classic and contemporary drama, dance, concerts, opera and comedy. With its wonderful array of fine shops, cafes and restaurants and spas, St. Andrews is perfect for that pampered day out.
Located on the section of the Fife Coastal Path between St. Andrews and the Tay Bridge, the caravan site is an ideal destination for those looking for an active holiday. The Fife Coastal Path offers 150 km of waymarked scenic walking for all levels of walkers. The path weaves through historic villages dating back to the 12th century – ideal pitstops for refuelling with fantastic local food and drink. Cyclists can also enjoy Fife’s Millenium Cycle Way – 300 miles of cycle routes along quiet country lanes, coastal paths and forest tracks. There are also a number of centres in the vicinity that offer quad-biking, clay pigeon shooting, archery, air rifling, hovercrafting, traction kiteing and even tractor-driving! Watersport enthusiasts can experience the thrills of waterskiing and wakeboarding at National Water Ski Centre, kite surf the magnificent waves of St Andrews or try their hand at sailing, powerboating, canoeing and kayaking. Those that prefer air to water can learn to skydive at Skydive St Andrews or fly at the Fife Flying Club or should you wish to keep keep both feet firmly on the ground, watch the RAF Leuchars Air Show, the only remaining Battle of Britain Airshow, that occurs in September.
Vibrant and bustling, Dundee, Angus – Scotland’s city of discovery – is only 4 miles away from our holiday park and offers a fascinating range of things to see and do. With a remarkable array of art galleries and museums, a wealth of restaurants, exciting tourist attractions and great shopping, Dundee is ideal for those wanting to spend a day out in the city. Children will love the award-winning Discovery Point Museum where they can climb aboard the RSS Discovery Ship and learn about her remarkable Antarctic expedition, and the Sensation Science Centre, where they can discover the wonders of science through over 80 hands-on interactive exhibits. Musts for music enthusiasts are the Dundee Blues Bonanza in July, Europe’s biggest free blues festival, and The Dundee Jazz Festival in October, which offers a range of international jazz stars and top Scottish musicians.
Fife has a rich history of being a larder of good food and drink. It has a wide range of pick-your-own fruit farms and restaurants and is even home to one of Scotland’s newest and smallest malt distilleries! Fife is re-nowned for being a world-class provider of shellfish, grains, superb fruit, cheese, livestock and flavoursome wild game and boasts a number of high quality Scottish farm shops where you can buy your eggs just a few hours old and pick your own fruit straight off the vine. With all this at your doorstep, you don’t even need to go to the supermarket!
