Falkland Palace, built between 1450 and 1541, was the official country residence of Stuart kings and queens. - Hill of Tarvit Mansion House
This stunning A-listed mansion house, originally the site of the 17th century Wemyss Hall, was completely remodelled by Robert Lorimer for Frederick Sharp in the early 1900s. - Tenstmuir Forest
Tentsmuir Forest is a national nature reserve that spans 3,700 acres of extensive pine forest right to the shore of Kinshaldy, a 5-mile long sandy beach. Containing waymarked trails and well-maintained paths for hacking and pony rides, the reserve is ideal for exploring by horse, bike or foot and has a unique ecology that is internationally recognised for its rich variety of plants, birds and insects. It is an important habitat for a range of wildlife, including red squirrels and roe deer – porpoises, seals and bottlenose dolphins are regularly seen offshore.
